Record breaking March temperatures are starting to melt the higher-level snowpack that is bringing earlier than normal water through the Spring City Tunnel and through the Reeder Ditch, which are supplemental water rights for HIC. These water rights are allowing HIC to get water earlier than normal to most of our Sprinkler system ponds. The water masters are getting the systems filled as quickly as they can. If the sign on a system that you use water from is posted for irrigation use, you may use according to that restriction as posted. If a system sign is still not posted for irrigation use, we are working to get water to those systems as quickly as we can. All systems should have water by April 1st.
